praṇamatsukumāreṣu vrīḍitoyaṃ mayaikadā | idānīmapi no yāyāmasya vākyānmahāmuneḥ
Narrator (reporting Sāmba’s inner thought)
Scene: Sāmba recalls an earlier moment of public embarrassment while bowing among delicate ladies; now he steels himself, head slightly bowed, to obey the great sage’s words.
Personal discomfort should not override dharmic respect; obedience to a great sage’s word is upheld as right conduct.
No tīrtha is named in this verse; it remains part of the Kāśī-khaṇḍa narrative arc.
None; it underscores etiquette—bowing, humility, and honoring a muni’s instruction.
