न तिष्ठन्नाप्सु नो विप्र गो वह्न्यनिल संमुखः । न फालकृष्टे भूभागे न रथ्यासेव्यभूतले
na tiṣṭhannāpsu no vipra go vahnyanila saṃmukhaḥ | na phālakṛṣṭe bhūbhāge na rathyāsevyabhūtale
اے برہمن، پانی میں کھڑے ہو کر ایسا نہ کرے؛ نہ گائے، نہ آگ، نہ ہوا کے سامنے رُخ کر کے۔ نہ ہل سے تازہ جوتی ہوئی زمین پر، نہ سڑک یا لوگوں کے آمد و رفت والی جگہ پر۔
