Skanda (deduced, Kāśīkhaṇḍa context)
Tirtha: Gaṅgā in Kāśī
Type: ghat
Scene: At a Kāśī ghāṭa at dawn: a pilgrim after feeding the poor and honoring sages offers a cupped-hand water oblation to Gaṅgā; ascetics and needy sit nearby; temple spires and boats silhouette in mist.
Pilgrimage merit is perfected by compassion and right conduct—honoring seers, serving the distressed, and performing Gaṅgā-bathing with faith and proper rite.
The Gaṅgā in Kāśī (Vārāṇasī) is implied as the sacred setting for bathing and water-oblation.
Perform snāna (ritual bath) with śraddhā and vidhi, and offer salilāñjali (water oblation), along with satisfying seers and aiding the poor and afflicted.
