Tirtha: Gaṅgā (Kāśī)
Type: ghat
Scene: A pilgrim after Gaṅgā-snāna sits in meditation on the steps; around him appear symbolic triads: a glowing ascetic fire (tapas), hands offering alms (dāna), and a yogic diagram/rosary (niyama), all emanating from the river’s light.
Approaching Gaṅgā with devotion matures one’s inner discipline, charity-mindedness, and yogic restraint.
The Gaṅgā in Kāśī, praised as bestowing the fruits of tapas, dāna, and yoga.
Gaṅgā-niṣevā is recommended implicitly as a practice whose fruit equals austerity, charity, and yogic observance.
