puruṣāyitasaṃjñena taptaṃ yattapasādhunā | bhavatībhistataḥ puṃstvamicchayā vo bhaviṣyati
Śrī Viśveśvara (continuing)
Tirtha: Nakṣatreśvara / Puruṣāyita-tapas site (Kāśī)
Type: kshetra
Listener: The tapas-performing devotees; and the text’s audience
Scene: Viśveśvara declares the fruit of Puruṣāyita-tapas: the devotees’ wished-for manhood will arise; the scene shows a divine pronouncement with subtle symbolic metamorphosis—star motifs, shifting silhouettes, and a radiant blessing descending.
Tapas grants transformative power under divine sanction; even embodied states are shown as subordinate to dharma and the Lord’s grace.
The boon is spoken by Viśveśvara within the Kāśī-khaṇḍa setting, reinforcing Kāśī as the place where extraordinary spiritual results manifest.
The observance/austerity termed ‘Puruṣāyita’ is referenced as the causal practice leading to the boon.
