Skanda (deduced; Kāśīkhaṇḍa context, typically Skanda to Agastya)
Tirtha: Candroda
Type: ghat
Scene: Pre-dawn Kāśī: a devotee who has fasted stands at the Candroda tīrtha, the sky still dark with a fading moon; lamps flicker on the ghat as the first light appears; the devotee steps into the water for the dawn bath after night-long vigil.
Discipline through fasting and night-vigil becomes especially fruitful when completed with sacred bathing at a praised tīrtha.
