न कोपि त्राता तस्यास्ति मानवा भयविक्लवाः । न मंत्रयंत्रैर्वह्निः स साध्यते न च मूलिकैः

na kopi trātā tasyāsti mānavā bhayaviklavāḥ | na maṃtrayaṃtrairvahniḥ sa sādhyate na ca mūlikaiḥ

اس کا کوئی محافظ نہ تھا؛ لوگ خوف سے بے بس ہو گئے۔ وہ آگ نہ منتروں اور تدبیروں سے قابو آتی تھی، نہ کسی آلے سے، نہ ہی جڑی بوٹیوں کی دوا سے۔
