Skanda Purana — Brahma Khanda, Shloka 86

यावत्त्रस्तमृगीदृष्टिं चपलां न विलोकयेत् । तावन्माता पिता तावद्धाता तावत्ससुहृज्जनः

yāvattrastamṛgīdṛṣṭiṃ capalāṃ na vilokayet | tāvanmātā pitā tāvaddhātā tāvatsasuhṛjjanaḥ

جب تک آدمی اُس ہرن جیسی چنچل اور دل کو بےقرار کرنے والی نگاہ کی طرف نظر نہ کرے، تب تک ماں باپ ہی سچے محافظ رہتے ہیں؛ تب تک ودھاتا (قضائے الٰہی) سہارا دیتا ہے؛ اور تب تک سچے دوست اور خیرخواہ ثابت قدم رہتے ہیں۔
