janmanyasminprabho bhūyātsthātavyaṃ hṛdaye mama | evamastu śivaḥ prāha tatra taṃ dānaveśvaram
Śiva (granting the boon; Lohāsura’s request is embedded)
Scene: Śiva raises a hand in varada-mudrā saying ‘evam astu’; Lohāsura repeats his request that it be in this very birth and fixed in his heart.
Divine words are decisive; once a boon is sanctioned, its moral consequences unfold according to the seeker’s intention and karma.
The Dharmāraṇya milieu frames the narrative, but this verse highlights the boon-granting moment rather than a pilgrimage merit.
None directly; the surrounding story presumes austerity (tapas) as the spiritual ‘currency’ behind such requests.
