भूत उवाच । गोवत्समिति विख्यातं नराणां पुण्यदं परम् । अनेकजन्मपापघ्नं मार्कंडेयेन भाषितम्
bhūta uvāca | govatsamiti vikhyātaṃ narāṇāṃ puṇyadaṃ param | anekajanmapāpaghnaṃ mārkaṃḍeyena bhāṣitam
بھوت نے کہا: ‘یہ “گووتس” کے نام سے مشہور ہے—انسانوں کے لیے اعلیٰ ترین پُنّیہ دینے والا، کئی جنموں کے جمع شدہ گناہوں کو مٹانے والا—جیسا کہ مارکنڈَیَ نے فرمایا ہے۔’
