sarvavidyāsu niṣṇātā vedavedāṃgapāragāḥ | ṛgvedeṣu ca niṣṇātā yajurvedakṛtaśramāḥ

وہ تمام علوم میں ماہر تھے، ویدوں اور ویدانگوں کے پار تک پہنچے ہوئے؛ رِگ وید میں چابک دست، اور یجُر وید کے سخت ریاضت بھرے مطالعے سے خوب تربیت یافتہ تھے۔
