Purāṇic narrator (within Dharmāraṇya Māhātmya; addressing a king)
Tirtha: Hayagrīva-tīrtha (implied by context)
Type: tirtha
Listener: A king (rājan)
Scene: Hari appears as Hayagrīva—human body with horse head—radiant and auspicious-faced, standing near a sacred waterbody/ford. A king and sages witness, hands folded, as the tīrtha glows.
The Purāṇas present divine manifestations as confirmations of a tīrtha’s sanctity and spiritual potency.
The tīrtha within Dharmāraṇya whose mahimā is being described; its power is illustrated through Hari’s Hayagrīva form.
None directly; the verse functions as praise (māhātmya) rather than instruction.
