īśvara uvāca | tava bhaktigṛhīto'hamumayā saha toṣitaḥ | niṣpāpaḥ somanāthastvaṃ saṃjātastīrthasevanāt
Śiva (Īśvara)
Tirtha: Somanātha (Revā-tīrtha context)
Type: kshetra
Listener: The devotee addressed in-context (Soma/Indu implied by next verse)
Scene: Śiva speaks, pleased with the devotee; Umā stands beside him, both bestowing grace; the devotee is symbolically ‘renamed’ Somanātha through tīrtha-sevā.
Bhakti joined with tīrtha-sevā leads to purification and a transformed spiritual identity blessed by Śiva.
The verse explicitly glorifies tīrtha-sevana within the Revā Khaṇḍa sacred landscape (Revā/Narmadā tīrtha tradition).
Tīrtha-sevā (reverent attendance/service at a holy place—typically including snāna, darśana, and worship) is praised as purifying.
