شری مارکنڈَیَہ نے کہا: پھر، اے راجاؤں کے سردار، سنگم کے قریب، نَرمدا کے جنوبی کنارے پر واقع بے مثال ماترتیرتھ کی طرف جانا چاہیے۔
Mārkaṇḍeya
Tirtha: Mātṛtīrtha
Type: sangam
Listener: Rājendra (king)
Scene: A kingly pilgrim with attendants approaches a confluence on the Narmadā’s southern bank; a small shrine/altar to the Mothers stands near the water; sage Mārkaṇḍeya gestures as guide.
Pilgrimage is mapped as a dharmic journey—moving from one sanctified site to the next under scriptural guidance.
Mātṛtīrtha near a saṅgama on the Narmadā’s southern bank.
The prescription here is the act of going (gacchet) to the tīrtha as part of tīrtha-yātrā.
