याज्ञवल्क्य उवाच । अपवित्रो मया भद्रे स्वप्नो दृष्टोऽद्य वै निशि । सक्लेदं तत्र मे वस्त्रं निक्षिप्तं तन्न दृश्यते

yājñavalkya uvāca | apavitro mayā bhadre svapno dṛṣṭo'dya vai niśi | sakledaṃ tatra me vastraṃ nikṣiptaṃ tanna dṛśyate

یاج्ञولکْیَ نے کہا، “اے بھدرے! آج رات میں نے ایک ناپاک خواب دیکھا۔ اسی سبب میں نے اپنا لباس وہاں نم حالت میں رکھ دیا تھا؛ مگر اب وہ دکھائی نہیں دیتا۔”
