vedābhyāsaṃ tu tatraiva yaḥ karoti samāhitaḥ | so'śvamedhaphalaṃ rājaṃllabhate nātra saṃśayaḥ
Śrī Mārkaṇḍeya
Tirtha: Dārutīrtha
Type: kshetra
Listener: Yudhiṣṭhira (addressed as rājan)
Scene: A focused reciter seated on a riverbank platform, holding palm-leaf or reciting from memory, with a small sacred fire or lamp nearby; the scene subtly overlays a symbolic Aśvamedha (horse, altar) as a metaphoric aura.
Sacred learning performed at a holy place multiplies merit, equated here with the Aśvamedha’s fruit.
Dārutīrtha (the referenced ‘tatraiva’ holy spot) in Revā Khaṇḍa.
Vedābhyāsa (Vedic study/recitation) done with samādhāna (mental concentration).
