yatphalaṃ sattrayajñena tadbhavennātra saṃśayaḥ | tena dvādaśavarṣāṇi pitaraḥ saṃpratarpitāḥ
Sūta (Lomaharṣaṇa) to the sages (deduced)
Tirtha: Meghanāda (Garjana) Tīrtha
Type: ghat
Scene: A priest completes piṇḍa-dāna; subtle vision of pitṛs receiving offerings, appearing content; a symbolic ‘twelve-year’ motif shown as a wheel of time or twelve solar marks around the scene.
Tīrtha-based rites can equal major Vedic sacrifices, and properly directed merit supports one’s ancestors (pitṛs).
Garjana/Meghanāda Tīrtha in the Revā (Narmadā) sacred landscape.
Ancestral satisfaction is linked to rites at the tīrtha, especially piṇḍa-dāna/tarpaṇa implied from the preceding verse.
