श्रीमार्कण्डेय उवाच । तदाप्रभृति तत्तीर्थं ख्यातिं प्राप्तं पितामहात् । सर्वपापहरं पुण्यं सर्वतीर्थेष्वनुत्तमम्

شری مارکنڈَیَہ نے کہا: اُس وقت سے وہ تیرتھ پِتامہ (برہما) کے سبب مشہور ہوا۔ وہ نہایت مقدّس ہے، تمام گناہوں کو دور کرنے والا ہے، اور سب تیرتھوں میں بے مثال ہے۔
