evaṃ mayānubhūtaṃ tu dṛṣṭamāścaryamuttamam | sarvapāpaharaṃ puṇyaṃ kathitaṃ te narottama
Narrator (sage/storyteller addressing a listener)
Tirtha: Revā/Narmadā-māhātmya (kathā as tīrtha)
Type: kshetra
Listener: Narottama (best of men) addressed as recipient of the narration
Scene: A narrator-sage concludes the account before a respectful listener (‘narottama’), gesturing toward the river or a manuscript; the atmosphere is solemn and auspicious, as if sealing a vow.
Hearing and preserving tīrtha-māhātmya is itself purifying; sacred narrative functions as a vehicle of pāpa-kṣaya.
Revā/Narmadā, through the declared merit (puṇya) of its wondrous account.
Implied śravaṇa (devout listening) of the holy narrative as sin-destroying.
