tatte saṃkṣepataḥ sarvaṃ bhaktiyuktasya bhārata | kathayāmi na sandeho vṛddhabhāvena karśitaḥ
Mārkaṇḍeya
Listener: Yudhiṣṭhira
Scene: An elderly Mārkaṇḍeya, slightly frail, speaks gently yet firmly to Yudhiṣṭhira; the disciple’s devotional posture is emphasized; the scene conveys tenderness and certainty.
Devotion (bhakti) is presented as a key qualification for receiving sacred instruction, and the teacher’s compassion adapts teaching to circumstance.
Indirectly supports the Āśvina Tīrtha narrative; the verse itself is about narration and eligibility rather than site-description.
None; it is a narrative transition.
