धौतपापं तु तत्तेन नाम्ना लोकेषु विश्रुतम् । तत्र स्थितो महादेवस्तुष्ट्यर्थं भृगुसत्तमे

dhautapāpaṃ tu tattena nāmnā lokeṣu viśrutam | tatra sthito mahādevastuṣṭyarthaṃ bhṛgusattame

اسی سبب وہ دنیا میں ‘دھوت پاپ’ کے نام سے مشہور ہے، یعنی ‘گناہ دھلا ہوا’۔ وہاں مہادیو وِراجمان ہیں، بھِرگو شریشٹھ (رِشی بھِرگو) کی تسکین اور عنایت کے لیے۔
