mahiṣāsure mahākāye purā devabhayaṃkare | śūlinyā śūlabhinnāṅge kṛte dānavasattame

Translation

قدیم زمانے میں، عظیم الجثہ مہیشاسُر—جو دیوتاؤں کے لیے ہولناک تھا—جب شُول دھارِنی دیوی کے ترشول سے چھیدا گیا تو اس کے اعضا ترشول سے پھٹ گئے اور وہ دیووں میں سرفہرست دانو گرا دیا گیا۔
