snātvā sa vimale toye saṃsthāpya tripurāntakam | jagāma tridaśāvāsaṃ pūjyamāno'psarogaṇaiḥ

Scene: On the Narmadā bank, Indra bathes in clear waters, then installs and worships Tripurāntaka; afterward he ascends to the divine abode, greeted and honored by apsarā hosts.
Purification is completed by devotion: tīrtha-snāna joined with Śiva-pūjā restores honor and spiritual standing.
The pure waters of the Revā/Narmadā tīrtha setting (from the immediate context) are the locus of the rite.
