बिभेत्यल्पश्रुताद्वेदो मामयं प्रतरिष्यति । इतिहासपुराणैश्च कृतोऽयं निश्चयः पुरा
bibhetyalpaśrutādvedo māmayaṃ pratariṣyati | itihāsapurāṇaiśca kṛto'yaṃ niścayaḥ purā
وید اُس شخص سے خائف رہتا ہے جس نے تھوڑا سا ہی سنا ہو، یہ سمجھ کر کہ “یہ مجھے غلط سمجھ کر حد سے گزر جائے گا۔” اسی لیے قدیم زمانے سے اتہاس اور پوران کے ذریعے یہ قطعی بات قائم ہوئی کہ وید تک رسائی مقدس روایات و حکایات کے سہارے سے ہونی چاہیے۔
