युक्ताहारविहारश्च युक्तचेष्टश्च कर्मसु । युक्तनिद्राप्रबोधश्च सर्वायासविवर्जितः

It teaches that steady moderation in daily life supports Shaiva yoga: when the body and senses are regulated, the mind becomes fit for Shiva-dhyana, loosening pasha (bondage) and moving the pashu (soul) toward Pati (Shiva).
Balanced living protects the devotee from agitation and fatigue, making Linga-puja and Saguna Shiva upasana consistent and inwardly focused; regularity in conduct turns external worship into sustained remembrance (smarana) of Shiva.
Adopt disciplined routine: moderate diet and sleep, then perform daily Shiva worship—japa of the Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) and calm meditation on the Linga—so practice remains effortless and steady.
