समयाह्वय-संस्कारः — Rite of ‘Samayāhvaya’ and the Preparatory Layout

तस्यैवं जनयेत्क्षात्रमुद्धारं च ततः पुनः । कृत्वा तथैव विप्रत्वं जनयेदस्य देशिकः
tasyaivaṃ janayetkṣātramuddhāraṃ ca tataḥ punaḥ | kṛtvā tathaiva vipratvaṃ janayedasya deśikaḥ
یوں دیشک پہلے اس میں کْشاتر بھاؤ اور اُدھّار کی رسم پیدا کرے؛ پھر اسی طرح مقررہ طریقے سے عمل کرکے اس کے لیے وِپرَتو (برہمن بھاؤ) بھی پیدا کرے۔

In the Shaiva tradition, proper Linga-worship and mantra-sadhana are undertaken with adhikāra (eligibility) refined by the guru; the verse highlights the deshika’s role in preparing the seeker for orthodox Saguna Shiva worship leading toward the highest truth.
It points to guru-conducted rites of purification and initiation (uddhāra and related saṃskāras), after which disciplined mantra-japa and regular Shiva-puja are performed with renewed spiritual qualification.
