وہ بھی وہاں آسن پر بیٹھے اور مُنیوں نے اُن کی باقاعدہ پوجا کی۔ پھر سب کو جواباً آداب کہہ کر اُن کی خیریت دریافت کی۔

Tattva Level: pashu
It highlights dharmic humility: even a revered person first accepts honour without pride, then responds with respectful greetings and concern for others’ well-being—an outer mark of inner Shaiva discipline (vinaya) that supports purity of mind for devotion and knowledge.
Linga-worship in the Shiva Purana is not only ritual but also conduct: honouring devotees and sages, exchanging salutations, and maintaining auspiciousness (kuśala) are presented as supportive limbs of Saguna Shiva-bhakti and a sattvic atmosphere for Shiva-kathā.
The implied practice is satsanga-niyama: begin spiritual gatherings with respectful salutations (namaskāra), maintain harmony by enquiring about welfare, and listen with humility—preparing the mind for mantra-japa and contemplation.
