It illustrates how even a small taste of something truly delightful creates repeated remembrance; similarly, a little experience of Shiva-bhakti or inner stillness makes the mind naturally return to Pati (Shiva), supporting steady devotion and liberation-oriented contemplation.
Just as sweetness once tasted is remembered, Saguna worship—Linga-darśana, pūjā, and mantra—gives a tangible ‘taste’ of grace that draws the mind back again and again, eventually ripening into deeper absorption beyond mere external form.
Practice smaraṇa through daily japa of the Panchākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) and brief, repeated recollection of Shiva after worship—short sessions done consistently—so devotion becomes as natural as recalling a tasted sweetness.
