कौशिकी-गौरी तथा शार्दूलरूप-निशाचरस्य पूर्वकर्मवर्णनम् | Kauśikī-Gaurī and Brahmā’s account of the tiger-formed niśācara

देव्युवाच । यदुक्तं भवता सर्वं तथ्यमस्त्वयमीदृशः । तथापि मां प्रपन्नो ऽभून्न त्याज्यो मामुपाश्रितः

devyuvāca | yaduktaṃ bhavatā sarvaṃ tathyamastvayamīdṛśaḥ | tathāpi māṃ prapanno 'bhūnna tyājyo māmupāśritaḥ

دیوی نے کہا—آپ نے جو کچھ فرمایا وہ سب سچ ہے؛ یہ واقعی ایسا ہی ہے۔ پھر بھی یہ میری پناہ میں آیا ہے؛ جو میرے آسرے آئے اسے چھوڑنا نہیں چاہیے۔

This verse highlights śaraṇāgati—once a seeker truly takes refuge, divine compassion becomes the protecting principle; in Shaiva thought, grace (anugraha) is what loosens the bonds (pāśa) and leads the soul (paśu) toward Shiva (Pati).

Approaching the Shiva-Linga as Saguna Shiva is an act of refuge and intimacy; the verse supports the bhakti stance that sincere surrender and seeking shelter in the Divine (Shiva-Shakti) is never rejected, even when the devotee is imperfect.
