The verse teaches that kṣamā (forbearance/forgiveness) is a divine quality that refines the seeker’s nature, making one spiritually radiant and exemplary—an inner sign of dharma aligned with Shaiva ideals of purity and self-mastery.
In Linga and Saguna Shiva worship, outer ritual is meant to awaken inner transformation; this verse highlights that virtues like kṣamā are a key inner offering (mānasa-pūjā), making the devotee fit for Shiva’s grace.
Practice daily self-restraint and forgiveness as a vrata, paired with mental worship—reciting the Panchakshara ("Om Namaḥ Śivāya") while cultivating kṣamā as an intentional inner discipline.
