Sukta 9.5

Devata: Soma Pavamāna (with Indra invoked/identified as empowered by Soma; also ‘two divine Hotars’ as assisting powers)

उभा देवा नृचक्षसा होतारा दैव्या हुवे । पवमान इन्द्रो वृषा ॥

ubhā́ devā́ nṛ-cákṣasā hótārā daívyā huve | pávamāna índro vṛ́ṣā ||

I call the two divine Hotars, who see as men and work for the human journey; in the self-purifying Soma stands Indra the Bull—power of victorious force within.
