Bow split, ejecting blood from mouth, Indrajith took his strong best of bows which had a stout string.
The verse reflects kṣatriya-dharma: even when wounded, a warrior continues the duty of battle with resolve and discipline, without abandoning the field.
Indrajit has been hurt and his armour is broken; despite this, he re-arms himself by taking up a superior bow to continue fighting.
Determination and martial steadfastness (dhairya and yuddha-niṣṭhā) in the face of injury.
