Sumitra’s Consolation to Kausalya
पुनः प्रविष्टं दृष्ट्वा तमभिषिक्तं महाश्रियम्।समुत्स्रक्ष्यसि नेत्राभ्यां क्षिप्रमानन्दजं पयः।।।।
punaḥ praviṣṭaṃ dṛṣṭvā tam abhiṣiktaṃ mahāśriyam | samutsrakṣyasi netrābhyāṃ kṣipram ānandajaṃ payaḥ ||
جب تم اسے دوبارہ داخل ہوتے دیکھو گی—ابھیشیک سے مُقدَّس اور عظیم جلال سے درخشاں—تو تمہاری آنکھوں سے خوشی کے آنسو فوراً بہہ نکلیں گے۔
Soon you will see him enthrouned shining in full glory on his return from exile whiletears of joy will flow from your eyes.
Right order ultimately restores joy: suffering endured in dharma culminates in rightful consecration and communal well-being.
The speaker forecasts Rama’s return from exile and his enthronement, transforming Kausalya’s sorrow into anticipated joy.
Rama’s destined legitimacy—his ‘mahāśrī’ is linked to righteous rule and the fulfillment of duty.
