आनंदिन्यै कटिं देव्याः शूलिनश्शूलपाणये । माधव्यै च तथा नाभिमथ शंभोर्भवाय वै

دیوی کی کمر آنندنی کے نام ہوئی؛ اور شُول دھاری، شُول پانی (شیو) کو اُس کے ہاتھ کا ترشول ملا۔ اسی طرح ناف مادھوی کے نام ہوئی—یعنی بھَو، شمبھو (شیو) ہی کے لیے۔
