Application: Before pūjā or japa: offer water respectfully (even mentally), bathe or wash, then apply tilaka mindfully as a vow of belonging to Viṣṇu.

FAQs

It outlines a devotional-ritual order: offer respectful arghya (here with reverence to the deity together with Rādhā), then perform snāna (ritual bath), and finally apply tilaka according to proper rules.

By placing salutations and a humble request for grace (“prasīda me”) at the center of the rite, it frames ritual actions as expressions of devotion rather than mere formalism, explicitly honoring Rādhā alongside the worshipped Lord.

Reverence, humility, and disciplined observance are presented as essential virtues: one approaches the sacred with respectful offering, personal purification, and rule-guided conduct.
