Kāruṇya-stotra Phalaśruti; Dream-Darśana of Vāsudeva; Manifestation and Pratiṣṭhā of Jagannātha, Balabhadra (Ananta), and Subhadrā
नागपर्यंकशयनं क्षीरोदार्णववासिनम् । नमस्येऽहं हृषीकेशं सर्वपापहरं हरिम् ॥ ८६ ॥
nāgaparyaṃkaśayanaṃ kṣīrodārṇavavāsinam | namasye'haṃ hṛṣīkeśaṃ sarvapāpaharaṃ harim || 86 ||
میں ہری، ہریشیکیش کو نمسکار کرتا ہوں جو ناگ-شَیّا پر آرام فرما ہے اور بحرِ شیر میں مقیم ہے؛ وہ سب گناہوں کو دور کرنے والا ہے۔
Narada (devotional invocation within the Uttara-Bhaga narrative frame)
Vrata: none
Rasa: {"primary_rasa":"bhakti","secondary_rasa":"shanta","emotional_journey":"Devotional bowing deepens into serene contemplation of the cosmic Lord resting on the serpent-bed and removing sin."}
It functions as a devotional salutation to Viṣṇu (Hari/Hṛṣīkeśa), emphasizing that remembrance and surrender to the Lord—who abides in the Kṣīroda ocean and reclines on Śeṣa—destroys sin (pāpa) and purifies the devotee.
Bhakti is expressed through namaskāra (reverent bowing) and nāma-smaraṇa (invoking divine epithets like Hari and Hṛṣīkeśa), presenting the Lord as accessible through heartfelt surrender and as the direct remover of spiritual impurity.
While not teaching a specific Vedāṅga technique, the verse reflects correct stotra-prayoga (devotional recitation practice) and the purposeful use of divine nāmāni (epithets) as a disciplined means of worship within Purāṇic ritual culture.
