Narada (as narrator within the tīrtha-māhātmya discourse)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: adbhuta
It states that residence/birth in the praised sacred context yields powerful karmic results—elevation to brāhmaṇa status, prosperity, and Vedic knowledge—showing how tīrtha-related merit can shape one’s next embodiment when prior tapas-merit is spent.
While it does not directly mention bhakti, it supports the Purāṇic framework where holy places and dharmic observances prepare a person for higher sāttvika life—Vedic study, purity, and disciplined worship—conditions favorable for Viṣṇu-bhakti in tīrtha settings.
The verse emphasizes caturveda-jñāna (mastery/possession of the four Vedas), implying a life oriented to śruti-learning and its auxiliaries (Vedāṅgas) such as śikṣā (phonetics) and vyākaraṇa (grammar) that enable correct recitation and understanding.
