Gaṅgā-māhātmya

क्रीडते शांकरे वापि स्तुतो देवादिभिर्मुदा । भूमिरेण्वब्दसंख्याकं कालं स्थित्वा च तत्र सः ॥ ६२ ॥

krīḍate śāṃkare vāpi stuto devādibhirmudā | bhūmireṇvabdasaṃkhyākaṃ kālaṃ sthitvā ca tatra saḥ || 62 ||

وہ وہاں شَانکر لوک میں بھی سیر و تفریح کرتا ہے، اور دیوتا وغیرہ خوشی سے اس کی ستائش کرتے ہیں؛ پھر زمین کے غبار کے ذروں کی تعداد کے برابر برسوں تک وہاں ٹھہر کر اسی مقام میں قائم رہتا ہے۔
