Narrator (Purāṇic narration within the Uttara-Bhāga context)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: karuna
Secondary Rasa: bhakti
It highlights the sanctifying power of a mother’s blessing—spoken as mantra—showing how affectionate embrace and sacred speech together become a protective, dharmic support for the child.
Though not a direct Vishnu-bhakti instruction, it models bhāva (devotional feeling) through loving reverence and blessing, implying that sincere, heartfelt intention (with mantra) is central to spiritual upliftment.
The verse gestures to mantra-prayoga (application of sacred utterance), aligning broadly with Śikṣā (proper recitation) and Vyākaraṇa (clarity of speech) as supporting disciplines for effective blessing and ritual sanctification.
