The verse reflects the text’s technical-ritual strand (Book 1.3), emphasizing that specific materials and precise procedures—here, inscribing on a yellow cloth—are considered integral to the efficacy of certain karmas (ritual operations).
This particular verse is not a bhakti instruction; it belongs to the technical/ritual domain. In Narada Purana’s broader framework, such prayogas are treated as procedural knowledge, distinct from the devotional path centered on Vishnu-bhakti.
It highlights applied ritual procedure (prayoga)—the use of a prescribed medium (pītavastra, yellow cloth) and the act of writing/inscription (lekhanam) as a technical component of a rite.
