It gives the mantra’s traditional “identifier set” (ṛṣi–chandas–devatā), which sanctifies correct japa and links the Nṛsiṁha practice to an authorized Vedic lineage.
By specifying the Nṛsiṁha-mantra’s ritual credentials, it supports disciplined devotional practice—bhakti expressed through properly transmitted mantra-japa rather than improvisation.
Chandas (Vedic metre) and mantra-anukrama method: identifying the seer (Atri), the metre (Atijagatī), and the devatā (Manas) used for viniyoga and correct recitation.
