Narada (in an instructional, technical-ritual context; narrated within the Narada Purana’s Vedanga/ritual section)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: adbhuta
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It presents a technical upāsanā/ritual sequence: establishing a foundational support (ādhāra), invoking the solar principle (ravi-maṇḍala), and activating mantra-power through the mātṛkā (letters) with ritual water—linking cosmic order to disciplined practice.
Though primarily technical, it supports bhakti-based upāsanā by prescribing a focused method to place sacred syllables and invoke a divine cosmic form (the Sun as a sacred manifestation), making devotion structured through mantra and visualization.
It highlights mantra-vidhi and mātṛkā-krama (systematic use of syllables/letters), along with ritual procedure involving jalābhiṣeka/filling with water—typical of technical liturgical practice discussed in the Vedanga-oriented portion of Book 1.3.
