आशीतोष्णौ महा वाद्यौ शीतोष्णौ वारितेजसोः । भास्वदग्नौ जले शुक्लं क्षितौ शुक्लाद्यनेकधा ॥ ८२ ॥

āśītoṣṇau mahā vādyau śītoṣṇau vāritejasoḥ | bhāsvadagnau jale śuklaṃ kṣitau śuklādyanekadhā || 82 ||

عظیم ہوا سردی و گرمی کی صفتوں سے پہچانی جاتی ہے؛ پانی اور تیز (آگ) بھی سردی و گرمی ہی سے معلوم ہوتے ہیں۔ آگ روشن و تاباں ہے؛ پانی میں سفیدی ہے؛ اور زمین میں سفیدی وغیرہ بہت سے اوصاف کئی صورتوں میں ظاہر ہوتے ہیں۔
