FAQs

It emphasizes that kingship becomes dharmic only when established through Vedic consecration (rājyābhiṣeka) performed by disciplined sages, showing that political power must be grounded in sacred order and vows (vrata).

While not directly teaching bhakti, it supports the bhakti framework by showing that righteous governance is sanctified through sacred rites led by pure-minded sages—an external expression of honoring divine law that ultimately supports devotion-centered life.

The verse points to the application of ritual procedure—especially kalpa (rules of rites) and mantra-based consecration—since rājyābhiṣeka is a formal Vedic/Smārta ceremony requiring correct injunctions and observances.
