Narada
Vrata: Śrāddha (pitṛ-kārya; not a vrata but a ritual observance)
Primary Rasa: shanta
Secondary Rasa: none
The verse frames Śrāddha as a sacred Pitṛ-duty where the choice of officiants matters; attentive adherence to dharmic eligibility safeguards the rite’s intended spiritual offering to the ancestors.
Indirectly, it shows bhakti expressed as careful, reverent service—performing Pitṛ-kārya with purity and attentiveness is a disciplined form of devotional duty aligned with dharma.
Kalpa (ritual procedure) is emphasized: the verse introduces procedural criteria—who should be engaged and who should be excluded—forming the practical rule-set for Śrāddha performance.
