अस्तित्वे तुल्यपापास्ते मिथ्यात्वे द्विगुणा नृप । अपापे पातकं यस्तु समरोप्य विनिन्दति ॥ ११५ ॥

astitve tulyapāpāste mithyātve dviguṇā nṛpa | apāpe pātakaṃ yastu samaropya vinindati || 115 ||

اے بادشاہ! اگر لگایا گیا عیب واقعی ہو تو اسے بیان کرنے کا گناہ اسی عیب کے برابر ہے؛ لیکن اگر وہ جھوٹ ہو تو گناہ دوگنا ہو جاتا ہے۔ اور جو بےگناہ پر گناہ تھوپ کر ملامت کرے، وہ بڑا جرم کرتا ہے۔
