छन्नघ्नमस्मान्मूलं तु खांगोनग्लौवपुर्हृतम् । स्थित्यर्द्धं घटिकादिस्याद्व्यंगबाह्वंशसंमितैः ॥ १५६ ॥
channaghnamasmānmūlaṃ tu khāṃgonaglauvapurhṛtam | sthityarddhaṃ ghaṭikādisyādvyaṃgabāhvaṃśasaṃmitaiḥ || 156 ||
اس طریقے میں ‘چھنّن گھْن’ (پردہ-زدا عامل) کو ہٹا کر اصل قدر حاصل کی جاتی ہے؛ اور کھ، اَنگ، ن، گْل، وپُو کے اشاروں سے بتائے گئے اجزا بھی نکال دیے جاتے ہیں۔ پھر عیب دار/مُصحَّح بازو-پیمانے اور اس کے حصّوں کے مطابق گھٹیکا وغیرہ میں نصف مدت مقرر کی جاتی ہے۔
