tataḥ svarociḥ saṃkruddhaścaṇḍāstramatibhairavam | dṛṣṭyāṃ niveśya tadrakṣo dadarśānimiṣekṣaṇaḥ
Anger is not glorified as impulse but harnessed as disciplined force in service of protection. The ‘unblinking’ gaze indicates steadiness—ethical action requires unwavering clarity.
Manvantara: narrative detail about ṛṣi/heroic capacities within an era, not cosmological creation.
Placing an astra ‘in the gaze’ symbolizes dhāraṇā (one-pointed fixation). The eye becomes the channel of will: concentrated awareness itself acts as a weapon against inner darkness.
