Adhyaya 63 — The Birth of Svarocis and the Rescue of Manoramā: The Astra-Heart and the Healing of Curses
jagrāha samupetyaināṃ tvarayā so 'pi rākṣasaḥ | trāhi trāhīti karuṇaṃ vilapantīṃ sumadhyamām
The cry ‘trāhi’ foregrounds the dhārmic duty of protection (rakṣaṇa), especially toward the vulnerable; it sets the stage for righteous intervention.
Manvantara: exemplary story within a Manu’s age illustrating social and moral order under threat.
The endangered ‘sumadhyamā’ can symbolize the subtle inner faculty (buddhi/śraddhā) being seized by demonic tendencies; liberation requires decisive spiritual force.
