Adhyaya 34 — Madālāsā’s Instruction on Sadācāra (Householder Conduct, Purity, and Daily Rites)

न हीदृशमनायुष्यं लोके किञ्चन विद्यते ॥
iṣṭāpūrtāyuṣāṃ hantrī paradāragatir nṛṇām | na hīdṛśam anāyuṣyaṃ loke kiñcana vidyate ||

Ethics is not merely social: adultery is framed as a direct destroyer of puṇya and vitality, negating even accumulated religious and charitable merit.
Ancillary dharma instruction; not pañcalakṣaṇa.
Violation of marital boundaries is treated as a rupture of dharmic ‘protective field’ (rakṣā); such rupture is said to drain āyuḥ/ojas, hence the emphasis on longevity loss.
